CV of prof. William R. Veder

William R. Veder has taught Slavic linguistics and text studies at Utrecht, Nijmegen and Amsterdam, with stints at Harvard, Novosibirsk, Sofia and Leuven. Much of his career has been devoted to studying the transmission of texts written in Old Slavonic, a language related to but divorced from any living Slavic vernacular. After having retired from Amsterdam (2003), he now works at a day’s distance from the fabled Ohio State University Hilandar Research Library and is actively engaged in establishing Slavonic texts originally written in Glagolitic.
